Lisa has been married to her husband, Christopher, since 2002. Their daughter, Luciana, was born 2011. For over a decade Lisa enjoyed a successful career as the lead Data Scientist, Business Intelligence Author and Trainer at a fortune 100 company. In June 2014, she woke up with extreme pain in her eye. Within three days, she was blind and lost mobility. A few days later, she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and Optic Neuritis.
After spending many years with debilitating pain, vertigo, loss of mobility and loss of eyesight, she learned to adapt to having MS and being monocular. “I joined a gym and quickly found that fitness and movement was crucial for my mobility and wellness”. Lisa immediately wanted to share her passion for fitness and she started her YouTube channel in 2020.
Lisa began her pole & dance journey in December 2022. She danced for six (6) months and then due to personal and health reasons she had to pause. In January 2024, her health stabilized and her journey continued. She developed a passion for technique and skills training. In August 2024, Lisa obtained her Liquid Motion®️ Certification. “I am excited to help dancers connect to their bodies natural movement and flow”.
Lisa inspires and empowers humans, especially those over age 40, to regain strength, confidence, and activate sensuality through dance and movement.
When Lisa is not dancing, she is a cohost with her husband on the Talking Gravesend Podcast and Talking Shows with Chris and Lisa. They also have a local cable television show, NE Pizza Fanatics, which is aired in over 100k households weekly.
